Our funeral directors and support staff are passionate about providing the funeral service you want with lots of personal touches. We know how to take care of the details when arranging a funeral - whether it's being held now or being pre-arranged or pre-paid for some time in the future.

Academy is proud to be a Griefcare Accredited member of the Funeral Directors Association of New Zealand (FDANZ) - an achievement that means families can be assured of a quality standard of service, integrity in everything we do, and a commitment to training our staff.

Our premises include an attractive chapel with seating for 150 people, a fully equipped reception lounge, a casket display area and private viewing areas where families can say their final farewell in privacy and homely comfort.

The chapel has an organ for accompanying hymns and providing background music, as well as a CD and tape facility for playing the music of your choice.

The reception and catering lounge is popular with family and friends for get-togethers after funerals. Caterers will help serve tea, coffee and juice, as well as your choice of sandwiches, hot savouries and sweet slices, which are provided at competitive prices.

We also offer ample off-street parking.
